Spooky Situations and Scary Conversations: (a workshop on self accountability and communicating through conflict)
To many, having to confront a conflict head on is one of the scariest things they can imagine having to do. The thought alone may be hair-raising! Many prefer to just wait out the situation in hiding. Others put on a costume and pretend everything is fine. Some would rather take their feelings to their gravestone. I’m getting carried away with the halloween references, but with Halloween being ‘cancelled’ this year, what better time to explore what so many of us consider to be one of the scariest situations to be in: right in the middle of a bubbling conflict.
This 2 hour training (online) will explore:
-why conflict is so darn scary and causes us to react in some truly spooky and mysterious ways.
-how to move past our fears and learn to better communicate our way through conflict.
-how to practice de-escalation, but also self accountability. Self accountability means that we know when and how to take responsibility for our own roles in a particular situation, but also how to maintain and live in our integrity.
-real life conflict examples and various contexts such as online, in teamwork settings, with our friends, partners, family, etc.
Come join me online for a night of scary stories accompanied by skill and technique sharing in a relaxed atmosphere. Come dressed in costume if you’d like (nothing appropriative or offensive please; if you are unsure, email me), eat some candy (on mute please!), and learn something new.
